Optimizing Coal Transportation in South Sumatra

On that occasion, PT KAI's Director of Business Development, Rudi As Aturridha said that PT KAI has an important role in the smooth distribution of coal in South Sumatra.
“We will prepare 89 million tons of transport capacity. One of the challenges is the smoothness of traffic on the highway, namely with the construction of flyovers, it will run smoothly and reduce risks. This volume capacity will certainly have an impact on the operation of the Musi River as well, where at this time the obstacle is the operating hours which are only 12 hours per day, we propose that operations can be 24 hours / day,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Transportation represented by PT KAI Safety Director Maya Santi said that PT KAI is committed to increasing the volume capacity of coal transportation by paying attention to safety and comfort for the community in traffic, especially traffic flow at railroad crossings and traffic flow on the Musi River.
